چکیده
Knowledge management in research centers linked to government organizations in Iran formed the subject matter of this study, which focused on identifying key factors, challenges, and opportunities in adopting effective knowledge management practices. The purpose was to propose strategic frameworks and practical suggestions for optimizing knowledge management. The study used a qualitative research design and included a population of scientific articles on knowledge management in Iranian research centers, from which 55 articles were selected through purposive sampling. A “Document Review Checklist” developed by Smith (2018) was employed as the primary instrument, and data were analyzed using a systematic content analysis method. The results indicated that, while managers and experts recognized the value of knowledge management and displayed a willingness to establish relevant systems, limited information technology infrastructure, insufficient incentives, and cultural resistance posed serious barriers. A lack of comprehensive policies further hindered effective implementation. It was concluded that nurturing an organizational culture encouraging knowledge sharing and providing adequate training and incentives were essential for successful knowledge management, and leveraging advanced technologies could enhance processes, data accessibility, and collaboration. Ultimately, adopting international models and applying continuous improvements had the potential to boost research capacities and elevate organizational performance.
